Grace, 2012 | Glass, concrete, steel. 11'h x 20'w x 2"d. San Francisco, CA. Private Commission
Grace was created for an interior entryway of a residence in the Pacific Heights neighborhood of San Francisco, CA. Commissioned by a family of East Indian heritage, a small design has been repeated over all five panels, having an impact both at a distance and close up. Taking the tradition of visual repetition that appears in many Indian cultural artifacts, the intent was to translate that into a contemporary setting. Repetition offers contemplation and calm for the viewer, much like a meditation.
